Hi Taggers 🩷 Happy Friday! We have some incredible news to share with you.
The @WarnerMusicGroup / Blavatnik Family Foundation Social Justice Fund (WMG/BFF SJF) have selected the TAG Foundation for a grant recipient for the third cycle of SFJ Repertoire fund! The Warner Music Group / Blavatnik Family Foundation Social Justice Fund (WMG/BFF SJF) was founded in 2020 to further the advancement of historically marginalized populations, principally Black population in their intersectional dimensions in the US and globally. The SJF Repertoire Fund is an SJF program that provides small grants to organizations nominated by members of the Warner Music Group community. We are extremely grateful and honoured to be a recipient of this fund and hope to continue to gain global recognition for children's education in South Africa. -

Hello Taggers Hlonela and Temitayo participated in the WITS Regional Science Expo. Both working incredibly hard, they were awarded certificates and gold medals for their outstanding achievements. Hlonela focused on how different types of packaging affect the ripening process of bananas and Temitayo’s project, “Moo-ve Over Milk” focused on the quality of milk we consume. Overall Parktown Girls were celebrated as the school to receive the most awards at Expo - 8 bronze, 13 silver and 15 gold medals! 👏🏼 Our Taggers made Parktown proud with not only their outstanding achievements but with their exemplary behaviour and positive energy! Thank you to Ms. Govender who has supported these learners in the process 🤍 -

A Gesture of Gratitude Thabang Mphafi, Class of 2022, recently returned from an exhilarating journey at the U/20 Rugby World Cup. In a display of appreciation, Thabang presented his signed rugby jersey to Traci Gerber, recognising the unwavering support and love he received from the TAG Foundation and Traci herself. Thabang's gesture was more than just a gift; it is a symbol of his gratitude for the guidance and encouragement that played a crucial role in his development both on and off the field. His journey from the classrooms and training grounds to the global rugby stage is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and the solid foundation laid by the support system around him. This act of giving back is a reminder of the lasting impact that mentorship and support can have on young athletes. This past Friday, the TAG Foundation boys hosted Peter and Paul from Maritzburg College, marking a fantastic conclusion to the 2024 rugby season. The match showcased great sportsmanship and skill, creating a memorable experience for all involved. However, the game took an unfortunate turn when Peter sustained a broken leg. Hello Taggers, Happy Friday! 🩷🇿🇦 Over the last few weeks we have had some amazing provincial sports happening, in which our TAG Boys and Girls have participated in. This is an amazing achievement for them and us! Siphosethu Mnebelele and Vusi Moyo, as seen in these pictures, took it one step further and made the SA schools team for Rugby! Siphosethu Mnebelele has been announced as Captain for the duration of SA schools from the 29th of June to the 5th of July. 🏉 🇿🇦 Read more about it in the article link.

Good morning Taggers, We have a feel-good story for you! 🩷 This is Karabo Mamaregane, a KES Matric student who has been selected to represent the South African Men’s team at the World Aquatics U18 World Championship in Buenos Aires Argentina 🇿🇦 🇦🇷
Not only was he selected to represent his country, Karabo was announced as one of the two vice-captains at the capping ceremony! Over the past 2 months Karabo has been raising funds for his trip and has reached his goal with the help of one of our donors, Mark Stevens.
