Camdyn Andrews has been at King Edward VII School since Grade 8, but he only joined the TAG Foundation programme in his Grade 10 year from one of the school’s other scholarship programmes. He is grateful for the continued support and promises to work as hard for the TAG Foundation as he has done in the past.
In 2019 he was a member of the under-16A rugby team as a centre and has been named in the REDS pre-season training group. Unfortunately, he was injured and needed to undergo rehab. This meant he was not able to participate in contact practices. It has been his dream since he arrived at KES to be called up to the stage when the 1st XV REDS team of the season is announced. He says he has two more years to make that happen and if he is patient, he will hopefully get his chance.
On the day he arrived at King Edward VII School, Camdyn knew this school was for him. “I got goose bumps at those war cry practices and I knew I wanted to be part of the special brotherhood we have here.”
He would be playing basketball now if he were not injured and he describes himself as a “pretty quick” 100m and 200m runner who turns out for the B team.
